Weeks 8, 9, & 10

Weeks 8 & 9 are kind of a blurr to me, because as you know I am a teacher and school started.  I have been very tired, having to adjust to getting up early in the mornings.  I keep poker hours in my natural state.  I am a night owl.  I have always liked to stay up late, until 2 or 3 am and get up at 11 pm, that would be the ideal schedule for me.  Unfortunately, I picked the wrong profession for that.  Sean hosted two weeks in a row, thanks Sean, he provided cards, because I had forgotten that I picked them up at the Fox and the Hound the previous week.  All kinds of things went wrong, but we played and I guess things went right for Tim Mc as he took it down.  That's about all I remember.  If you wish to add your bad beats, go for it!

Week 6 & 7:A Very Brief Synopsis

Amy hosted week 6 at the Fox and the Hound.  She had plenty of snacks and there was plenty of sinking going on.  Alicia was our waitress and did an awesome job.  Sean even commented on the service the great service.  Seventeen players showed and one no show.  Any wagers on who? I don't really recall any hands from the night, I just know as soon as I moved tables, I went completely card dead.  TK was tremendously excited by a chip landing on its side.  Brad took it down with his usual poker brand of the poker gods smiling down on him.

Week 5 - My House AGAIN!

Sixteen players showed up to play.  There was plenty of snacks and everyone ate a lot of queso this time, which is good, don't want many left overs.  The Guajardo's played, Eliseo, Sante, and Starr.  I picked up Aces on the first hand with no callers after a 4 bet, 200.  That was how the rest of the night went for me.  I was getting lots of Aces that didn't go anywhere.  I picked up Sante from work so he could play and made back for 200/400 binds.  Sante got into a hand against TK in which the flop was Q-K-9 and TK bet out.  The betting got out of hand in this hand.  Sante called TK down with Q-Ten and made two pair on the river against TK's A-Q.  We all thought for sure that somebody had a straight the way the betting went.  But, Sante did not hit anything else the rest of the night and was eliminated early.  Sean and Ilana got into a hand, in which Illana raised.  Sean called and the flop came diamond-diamon-heart, d

Week 4 - My house

We had 13 players show up for poker tonight.  I sat at the table in the kitchen with, going left-to-right, Aaron, TK, Luis, Chris, and Amy.   We high carded and Amy had the deal.  The first hand and I limped in in the small blind.  Aaron raised and two others folded, I called.  The flop came 10-7-4, I checked, Aaron bet.  The next card was J.  I checked, Aaron bet, I called.  The next card was a blank, I bet 600 and Aaron folded pocket 6's.  I had 10-7 hearts.  I should have played 10-7 all night.  I would have faired better.  I was out first, the curse of the host, I think.  Maybe a lack of ability to focus, because your trying to do so much, such as start the clock and everyone is on your back to do so.  Hey, I was having some technical difficulties.  But, I got it going.  I got short stacked and raised with the blinds at 200/400 and 2000 left in my stack.  TK re-raised me, I went all-in.&nbs
