ABQ Poker Tour

Sixteen showed up to play plus two G's that hosted.  Starr held her own and I finished in the money.  But, let's not get ahead of ourselves.  First to try and remember what transpired at the table.  Let's see, Judd was hitting and won with pocket deuces against Starr.  He made quad deuces with the two deuces that came on the board.  He slowed played them a collected a lot of chips.  I know that Chris ran into a big hand with a straight to a full-house that knocked him out on the third hand at the other table.  The conversation was mild, but there was some discussion around black-jack, because Jack was out quickly. Jack was lingering and discussing card games.  Ryan started talking about a one deck table, in Vegas I guess?

Well summer is here or at least it is supposed to be.  Had to pull in some of my plants from the balcony so they don't die. (I know what you are thinking, not those kind of plants!)  This week, 14 showed up at Kevin's for some poker and NHL.  I played wonderfully again as I was second to bust out.  The discussion started about 'the blog'.  Everyone seems to think I write this shit down, take notes, wear a wire, or record with my phone, some bull-shit like that.  People it is all from memory.  Remember, I don't smoke and rarely drink.  I am one observant fuck!  All I can say is, I am getting better at it, so you better watch out!  The tells are getting more apparent! 

THE HAND OF THE NIGHT OR DARKNESS!!!!

This night started off with this blogger getting accosted in the parking lot by a long time member of the ABQPT.  The accusation: revealing too much information and getting him in trouble with his S.O.  In the future I will try to honor his request, therefore "Ladies and gentlemen: the story you are about to hear is true.

I will be at the Big Dog tomorrow!  Hope to see some of you there.  Kept meaning to remind everyone, but time flies!  So hopefully I will spend most of my Saturday playing poker. See you guys on Thursday!

P.S.  I left Thursday because my daughter cut herself pretty badly with a box cutter and the wife was out of town.  So I got a call from my son that she cut herself really bad.  So, I left and took her to the after hours pediatrics.  They determined that it didn't need stitches, but they did glue it and put a splint to keep it immobile.  She is doing fine and keeps asking me to host so she can play again and get some points.  She is currently 29th out of 50.

We started, I believe with 18 players.  At the outer table, not the pool table, it was Kevin, Steve, Ryan, Judd (at the nut seat), Chris (thanks for hosting), Partap, Blanchard, TK and me.  Steve apparently had a "date night" and was playing wildly, busted out early.  Just a warning Steve, we have seen this bit before, we call it the matrix!
