WSOP Main Event Final Table Airing - November 9 - Six Handed

November 9 has begun its almost live airing.  Reiss currently has the chip lead with 67M, Farber 49M, JC Tran 27M, Loosli 27M, McLaughlin 11M, and Leahavot 10M.  Brummehulis finish 7th and earns $1.1M.  Benefield finishes 8th and earns $944,650 and Newhouse was the first out earning $733,224.  The play has been pretty standard.  I haven't seen much bluffing.  Tran was doing most of that, when he started off as the chip leader, but has slid into 3rd place and is less active.  There have been sever pocket Aces and Kings.  The first all-in was Q's vs K's.  The Q's held up by flopping a set saving Benefiled from going out first.  Leahavot had a lot more chips, but he blundered a hand in which he was firing at pre-flop, turn, and then shut down on the river and checked!  Farber called him down and check the river in position and won the hand by rivering an Ace on a nut flush draw.  But, got luck on the river and won the hand.&nb

Week 17 - Sean's House

There was fajitas early, some baseball, and some poker. Some hands won, some hands lost. Some runs scored and some errors made. Nuts got busted, yes your nuts, Louis! Judd sucked out, an ace on there river to make a bigger boat. Two players out on that hand. 18 players dwindled down to five. Yvonne got busted out by Chris in fifth with KK vs. AQ. Chris has the chip lead with four left. Partap, Qtip, and Greg. So, I am out of here as my luck is no longer needed.

Sean's/Week 16

Brauts were made and eaten.  Cooking tip via Sean, cook them in some beer and a little water for a bit first.  I think I will try this some time.  It was some good eats!  Thanks!  We had enough for three tables, 19 players.  Been a while since we busted out the third table top.  The games were on, Seahawks vs. Cardinals and Red Sox vs.

Week 15/week 2 at Eliseo's

Fifteen players showed up.  Those 15 were able to partake of some fresh green chile in a wonderfully tasty green chile stew my wife made at my request.  The chile was freshly picked from around a farm in Portales on Sunday, the same day I purchased it and had it roasted.  It is tasty and just hot enough.  There was Dion's pizza, chips, my usual queso, and cookies.  Too bad for you poor saps who didn't show up!  I don't think I will host anymore as I can't seem to break the top five when I do host.  I am always knocked out early!  I think I played five total hands and folded up until first chip up, when I went all-in against "The Thrill Seeker" a.k.a. coach a.k.a.

Week 14 - Eliseo's House

Well, most of my night was spent searching for a cat that was never lost.  He was hiding in the closet.  So, yes he was found and my son felt really stupid.  Other than that distraction, I think everyone had a good time.  I only really remember a few hands, the hand I got busted on before break, the hand Louis called "stupid", and the final hand that gave a Yvonne her first win.  Congrats Yvonne!  The hand I busted out on just before break, played out with me calling in position with A-8, playing against Blanchard.  The flop came A-8-5.
