It's Summer Right!?!

Well summer is here or at least it is supposed to be.  Had to pull in some of my plants from the balcony so they don't die. (I know what you are thinking, not those kind of plants!)  This week, 14 showed up at Kevin's for some poker and NHL.  I played wonderfully again as I was second to bust out.  The discussion started about 'the blog'.  Everyone seems to think I write this shit down, take notes, wear a wire, or record with my phone, some bull-shit like that.  People it is all from memory.  Remember, I don't smoke and rarely drink.  I am one observant fuck!  All I can say is, I am getting better at it, so you better watch out!  The tells are getting more apparent!

THE HAND OF THE NIGHT OR DARKNESS!!!!

Ryan goes all-in with 2500 "into darkness" and does his bit!  Everyone folds around all the way to the right of Ryan where Judd sits.  Ryan is doing his blind mans bluff and Judd asks everyone, "have you seen this bit before?"  TK and I say we know what Ryan has.  Judd calls with A-5, Baker is between them and folds, and TK and I yell, "Queens".  Sure enough, Ryan turns over to red Queens!  Everyone at the table is busting up!  Ryan makes a diamond flush and doubles up!  We all have a good laugh which lasted a good round or two.  So, watch out for the "into darkness".

I think we need to create a motto:

The ABQPT is an equal opportunity organization, we always love the opportunity to take your cash and reserve the right to do so with any "Donkish" hand we choose.  This is the "Home of the Jibb-Jubb"! "Into darkness" is a documented move.  Where sucking out is the rule, rather than exception.  And all are criticized for their poor play and fuck-it-calls.  The place where good starting hands are rarely rewarded and the deeper stacks are those who are true ATC players.  We are not racist or intolerant, though the conversations at the table may seem to be.  It is all in good fun and is the result of much drinking among other things.  But, no topic is left undiscussed, so play at your own risk!  (Please add to and revise, until everyone is satisfied with this credo!)

Now some non-embellished poker (I love the game, so I don't find this boring as some do!)

I ran into a hand with Kevin, in which I raised from 100 to 200 under the gun.  Kevin reraised to 400, should have known then what he had.  I called and then the flop came.  As, 4h, & 5h.  I checked, Kevin bet 500, I reraised to 1000, Kevin went all-in, I called.  I had A-K, Kevin had a set of Aces.  I had 375 left at that point.  Couldn't catch anything else and was out a round later.  Should have played my 2-6 on the blind by going all in, with a hand against Judd and Kevin. The flop came 2,6,4, then a 2 on the turn.  Kevin had aces again!  But it was all over for me in the next hand, my A-5 vs. A-6 against Judd did not hold up, I was hoping for a split pot after he turned over his hand.

The five to place were Qtip, who got knocked on some ridiculous hand in which his boat got beat out by quad aces that Chris had.  Blanchard 4th, TK 3rd, Baker 2nd, and Christ 1st.

I hung out and enjoyed our discussion of Western Colorado and Englewood Squares! Next week at my house!  See you then!  Maybe I will break out the camera or something!  If I recall, we can post video in here right?
