Week 19 - Ryan and Becca's

Ryan and Becca hosted again.  There was football on this time no going "Phish".  Seventeen players showed up and play started a little after 8pm as promised.  The game ended early, as Art accumulated chips fast and had a mega stack.  I had a few good hands tonight and was able to finish third.  The first hand was agains Chris.  There were about four callers at 50/100.  The flop came 3-6-9.  I checked, Chris bet, Brad, called and everyone else folded.  I called.  The turn was a 9.  Brad checked, I bet something like 600 and Chris called, Brad folded.  Then the river came a 7.  I bet 3000.  Chris thought a while and called.  He had a 9 for trip 9's.  I had pocket 3's for the boat.  Another hand, Chris went all in for 2200, Ryan went in for 1100, Brad called.  I looked down at A-J and thought a bit, did some math, and called.  Glad I did, because the flop came A-A-9.  Brad checked and I went all in for 5000 more.  The turn a 9 and the river didn't matter.  Both Chris and Ryan had small pairs.  A couple hands later, I called on the button with A-Q.  There five others in the hand.  The flop came Q-J-Q.  Brad snickered something about letting the ladies play and folded.  It was checked around.  The next card a 9.  Amy bet the minimum 600, I called and Becca called.  The last card a 9.  Becca checked, Amy checked, and I bet 1200.  Becca called and Amy folded.  I showed A-Q.  Becca showed A-K.  It came down to five quickly and ended by about 10:40.  Art continued hitting card up until the end. 

Art was 1st, Becca was 2nd, Eliseo (me) was 3rd, TK finished 4th, and Amy I think was 5th.  I am not exactly sure of the order.  But, the results will be posted soon.  I am back in the top 10 and hopefully can maintain that.  I am sure it will not be an easy task, with Chris and Qtip right there.  I also don't do well when I host and I am hosting the next two weeks.  Hopefully, I can break that tradition. 

Art also mentioned to me that I didn't do him justice in the last post.  I don't remember that he had a flush and open ended draw, but whatever.  Like I've said before, anyone can blog.  If you don't like what I have to say or feel that I don't do you justice, then get off your lazy ass and write your own posts!
