Valentine's Day Poker Results and Recap

Thanks to all of those who showed last night on Valentine’s Day and playing poker rather than being out with your sweetie.  We had 9 show up, so most of you must have a sweetie!  But, in all truth, last night was more like Father’s Day at the tables.  As 4 out of 6 fathers finished in the top six, the old guys represented.  Qtip finished 6th on the bubble, Baker (Mayhem) finished 4th, Tim finished 3rd, and Eliseo finished 2nd.  TK took it down, finally wins with a pair of Kings, cracking Qtips pocket rockets by rivering a third King.  TK’s Aces held up and he was on a roll, all the way through heads up against Eliseo.   But the star of the night was Eliseo’s daughter Starr.  The 14-year-old phenom took 5th place.  Unfortunately, her father, Eliseo, had to deliver the last blow and flop an Ace when she was short stacked and went all in with pocket 4’s, Eliseo had AK suited.  The tiny cute ginger had her poker face on and showed us that she has game.  She held her own with the big boys (and girl) and showed a bluff or two.  She outlasted 5 quality players and surprised everyone while showing us her dimples and dragging in chips.  Baker tried to nick name her dimples, but Poker Starr seems more appropriate or P.S. for short.  As in P.S., I’m for real so don’t try and push her around.  After the tourney she was caught saying that “it was the best Valentine’s Day ever!” and, “that she loves this game (poker)”.   So look out for P.S. on February 28th, as we enter her turf once again. See you all again on Feb. 28th!
