Pointing out an issue with season points...

Ok, I first need to say that our current ranking system is excellent (Ranked by: points, cash won, and then who has a better mustache).

So what's the issue?

Let me simply point out an interesting statistic that Partop has so diligently compiled for us (thanks by the way). Specifically, lets look at the "games played" column. What should stand out is Jack's 9 games played, Christi's 12 games, and to some extent Josh's 15. Ok, so they came in and dominated us.... well good for them. However, we all know that once you earn ~27 points there isn't much motivation to continue playing the rest of the season, or as many games, because you've essentially punched your ticket to the final game. Which would also mean that their donation towards the general equipment fund, final table payout, and people who host is diminished. So where am I going with this....

This issue has been raised by many in the debate as to how the final season points should effect/ if at all the chip stacks at the final table. I say it should! Points earned during the season should not only motivate you for the nightly cash, entry into the final table, and general respect of your peers, but more importantly should improve your starting position in the final game. Clearly this can be seen in this years top ten and makes a very compelling argument that I hope is not as easily ignored as in years past.
